Padang-Padang Beach – Bali
One of my personal favorite beaches is Padang Padang Beach, located at Jalan Labuhan Sait, Pecatu village, not far from the famous Uluwatu temple. The entrance to the beach to pass through a kind of limestone cave inlet down provides its own nuance. It’s a public (free) beach, smaller than New Kuta Beach and the sea is so calm, so some of the native with their family frequent to swim here, but still ample of space. Since Julia Roberts came for the film Eat Pray Love, the name of Padang-Padang Beach was the one who started the fore.
If you’re looking for luxury and Cuba Libres then this beach is not for you. This beach is just a beach, with a local warung offering Bintang (local beer), water and some local soda drinks. Besides that you can enjoy the local food in the warung at the beach, prepared in typical local fashion and sometimes not for the weak of stomach.
For me Padang Padang Beach is one of the best beaches in the touristic area in Bali offering crystal clear water, silky soft white sand and breath-taking cliffs and rock formations. In short, Padang Padang Beach is the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy the beach, ocean and sunset.
Padang Padang Beach is also recognized as a surfer’s Mecca, because the sea has some perfect waves. But if you don’t surf, then the water simply invites you for a good swim, and you can soak in the warm rays of the sun on the soft sand carpet on the beach all day long.
